XV: Beyond The Tryline (2016)

Documentary made in association with RWC Legacy Productions.

The Rugby World Cup is one of the great sporting events and the eighth staging of the competition with England as the hosts. ‘XV: Beyond the Tryline‘ provides a unique take on the tournament. We see the World Cup through the eyes of a number of different characters all with key roles at RWC2015.

These characters include the Twickenham head groundsman, a kit man, a coach driver, a physio, a Welsh choir, a pair of Argentinian Tango dancers, referee Nigel Owens and tournament volunteers. We turned our cameras on the media too as well as some of the key players and coaches from the tournament. And for the first time in RWC history, we had dressing room access. In addition, we feature insight from some legends of the game – World Cup winners, Wilkinson, Fitzpatrick, Stransky, and Lynagh as well as the great Argentine star, Agustin Pichot.
